브러시리스 디젤 발전기 VS 브러시 발전기

As we all know, alternator is a kind of generator that converts mechanical energy into electric energy, which is an important part of diesel generator set. Mechanical energy is the amount of active energy, more specifically, it means the energy produced by development. It uses a rotating rotor to attract a field to produce mechanical energy. The energy is measured by random factors such as the speed at which it’s moving, which is the energy produced by the alternator is measured by the speed at which the inner rotor is moving. There are two types of alternators for diesel generator sets: brushless generator and brush generator. Therefore, it is important to know the difference between brushed and brushless generators.

Brushless generators use carbon-free engines to generate electricity. All else being equal, a brushless alternator uses a hardware surface to move the current. A brushless alternator has two rotor arrangements that rotate together to generate and move current. In any case, how is brushless moving current achieved? The brushless alternator at the end of the gear is a more ordinary generator than a brush used to move any current. This is a quick benefit over brushed alternators on the ground. As there is no brushless function, internal parts damage is minimal. Brushless alternators have a much higher start-up cost than brushless alternators, usually because more materials are used in brushless alternators. However, brushless alternators are also better suited to be essential alternators/generators, and they can also run for long periods of time.

Advantages and disadvantages of brushless generator

Advantages

  • No brush, low interference

Brushless motor Without brushes, there is no electrical spark generated by the operation of the brushless motor, which greatly reduces the impact of electrical sparks on the radio equipment and reduces the overheating of accidental failure.

  • Low noise

The absence of brushes also means that friction is greatly reduced during operation, so the noise is much lower. This advantage is a great support for the stability of the generator set. Therefore, the soundproof generator can run smoothly in all workplaces.

  • Easy to move and maintain

Brushless alternators are designed to be more compact, but they also weigh three to four times less than brushless generators. Because of this portable lightweight nature, the generator set can be easily moved from one location to another. Compared with the brushless generator set, the brushless generator set motor is easy to maintain, repair and replace, almost a kind of maintenance free generator. In addition, the wear of the brushless motor is mainly on the bearing.

Disadvantages

Because brushless engines require electronic controllers, they cost more than brushless generators. However, the service life of the generator is four to five times longer than that of a conventional brush machine.

A brushed alternator uses a brush (or carbon brush) to help direct electricity through an alternator or diesel generator. Running the brush as an electrical contact helps move the flow from the alternator to where power is needed. They do this by moving the current as the alternator’s rotor rotates. Brushed alternators are easy to move current around, but require a lot of support. Brush alternators have many moving parts that work together, and if one of them breaks or malfunctions, it can affect the other parts of the alternator.

Carbon and graphite brushes wear out over the long term and collect dust, which means regular replacement, requiring more cash and potential time. As a result, brushed alternators are better suited for gentler, shorter periods of use than full-time or uncompromising places. The potential purchase cost of a brushed alternator is much lower than that of a brushless alternator, but usually due to the final fix, may not be the most ideal decision for most people.

Advantages and disadvantages of brushed generators.

장점:

  • Low cost.
  • Easy replacement and maintenance, low maintenance and replacement cost
  • Less manpower is needed, and even a regular electrician can take care of the generator set.

Disadvantages:

  • High loss and friction.
  • Shorter service life
  • Low power output, low efficiency.

In general, brushed generators are usually small generators for short-term, intermittent use. However, brushless generators tend to be medium to large diesel generators designed for long-term or continuous use. Brushless diesel generators are generally more stable and reliable because they use more materials, including copper in the double windings. In the long run, they will be cheaper to maintain, which is crucial for major devices that may operate as the primary or sole power source for long periods of time.
